I have been to this hospital twice, and both times, the care I received was phenomenal. In other hospitals I have been to, I have had to deal with rude and condescending staff who haven't taken my concerns seriously. But not in this hospital. I felt I was treated with so much respect and kindness. The doctors and nurses listened to me and to every little concern I had. They carried out all the necessary tests and gave me the medication that helped me feel better. The positive energy from the staff helped me stay calm and made me feel safe and well cared for. I cannot say enough positive things about the doctors and nurses in this facility. Thank you for everything.

delivered my first baby here about a month ago and was an overall super amazing experience, all the l&d nurses were absolutely phenomenal, they all were so encouraging helping me push and walking me through everything. the anesthesiologist was great too he made me feel super calm and at ease. despite the outdated rooms it was overall a wonderful stay and experience, i wish i could go back and personally hug and thank every nurse and doctor that helped me that day! lol iβd definitely deliver my next here

Waited for 1 hour before finally being taken to the back to take a test, but currently have been waiting for over 5 MORE hours to be able to go over the test results with a doctor. Finally got to talk to someone that explained they were doing a shift change and it would even longer. They tried to be kind and empathetic but it fell short in the end because we know they haven't been doing a 5 hour long shift change. And though the conditions that brought us to this hospital have started recurring again and worsening, they can't even give us an approximation on when we'll be seen. Our adventure so far has been 6 hours and counting to speak with a professional about the whole reason we're here. We will probably just self discharge and try again somewhere else. I would not recommend anyone come here unless you are a trauma case on the brink...π€·πΏββοΈ not joking

So, I came into the ED, in so much pain and was praying that I could leave this place with even just a little bit of relief. I'm happy to report that not only did I get into a room within 15 min, I got treated well and the whole team surrounded me to help. Now most emergency rooms are supposed to be this way, not all that I have been to have been, then coming here, I got the help I needed and came home feeling almost 100% better and they really went above and beyond to make sure I got treated as I should have been!!! Thank you for your help!!!

Yes if you have been vaccinated
I doubt it, Linda. It is a question if it is an emergency, go as soon as possible. Excellent day
No
Not too sure, never had that issue.
Ask your nurse when your admitted
Brought my son to bakersfield Memorial hospital 2 times and to San Joaquin hospital once. they did some blood test and sent him home he was so weak I had to call an ambulance once. A few days later he was just getting worse. Brought him to Kern medical Center they admitted him right a way he was so sick. Double phenomena Thank you Kern Medical Center for all your experts in the medical field you saved my son's life after begging for help for 2 weeks.
Juat chexk into er tell them you have pain dont say you seen any doctors or know what it is or they wont help you quick enough and they willmost likely fix it
Yes but I if I was you I would see if you're covered to go to memorial hospital on 34th Street because of all the perks your own room and they really hook you up with a lot of baby stuff the even gave my sister and the baby and her husband a free limo ride home.
Yes
Hello Ms. Espinoza, Please let me know which clinic Dr. Shararah saw you at so I can provide the correct fax number. Thank you!
Women's Clinic is at Sagebrush, about 5 miles from the hospital. The hospital has triage, which is an emergency department for pregnant women.
You can request it through your MD, insurance company, the facility that provided the test...or if taken at KMC, apply to medical-records or medical-legal! Good Luck!
Call your pharmacy & explain what happened! They should contact your MD! There are different inhalers that can be "temporarily" prescribed, & your insurance "should" cover it! Always...in an emergency, dial 911! Good luck...
Kern Medical Center has an Urgent Care Center as well as the ER Trauma Center! You should try that route 1st, if you cannot reach a PCP!
My dad was seen at memorial yesterday where he had xrays and was told his collar bone is in fact broken and will need surgery and they told him to goto kmc at 5:30am and they only take the first 20 pts. They live 45 minutes away and the ride is very painful for him.
Natalie...you should communicate w/your physician about this matter! Never rely on any advice that doesn't come from a "licensed professional !". Good luck!!
I do not know what you refer to by a "broken waist". Dial 911...
Yes!
Unfortunately, no! There are programs that can help you manage any long term care, & your needs are accessed by many different agencies that exist within the hospital! They take care of you...
The visiting hours for KMC are from 9:00 a.m to 9:00 p.m.
Angel, the visiting hours are answered in the answer above! 9:00 to 9:00!
You can go to Urgent Care, located inside the ER if you are having difficulties , & an MD there can treat you! They may also refer you to a specialist at KMC out-patient clinics!
Everything "legal" like Medical Records, are ptotected! If not a patient, you would need to go to MEDICAL-LEGAL & request them to help you do that!
There are patients advocates located inside KMC, where you can file a complaint, & have them assist you to remedy whatever will be in your best interest, to make sure you recieve a positive outcome for your good health! Ask the operators located in front of the cafeteria, & they will set you up with one!
