The Addison Apartments

I looked at many places to live in Berkeley and hands down The Addison is the new crown jewel in Downtown Berkeley for discerning renters. Opened in June 2020, it features a friendly staff and state of the art security, locks, and amenities. I moved-in on Oct. 31, 2020. Many of the features are very well thought out and just plain cool. For example, when throwing out the trash, you don't need to touch the handle to the chute--simply wave your hand and a motion detector opens the door. The building front door takes a photo of every non-resident that attempts to enter and sends the resident a picture of the person to verify that it’s the correct visitor. Unlocking the front door is a mere swish on the resident's smartphone. The in-unit appliances are very nice Samsung and Bosch units. The facility is brand new, and you might have to test things, because no one's lived in the unit before. Any issues I had were dealt with by Miles, the head of maintenance, who was very friendly and efficient. The leasing process with Ashley and Victoria was attentive, friendly, and very efficient. My first 5-days of living in the building has been an excellent experience.

Amazing apartment building!! I am very pleased that I ended up living here, as it features state-of-the-art amenities, in a beautiful neighbourhood! The leasing process was straightforward with Victoria and Ashley being very helpful!!
