Little Lotte (Happy Hollow Glass)

Well...besides long redhead Katie with an attitude behind the tobacco counter portion. She was clearly in a bad mood or something already and not looking or acting friendly through the beginning of our transaction. Then she overlooked one item to ring up and got a major attitude when I said "I still need it". Proceeded to toss the item at me through the window and then actually 'attempt' to throw my receipt to me when I was asking for it. It was a cute show for spectators. I thought it was funny and had to point out again that it was SHE who had overlooked the missed item, not me. And remind her that I only needed the item, certainly not the attitude! You're at work lady, leave the -tude at home. I guess they call it Missouri for a reason.... The supervisor dude or whoever she had to call over with keys seemed quite grumpy with life as well. The rest of our visit was decent. Liked the novelty/ gift shop side. Some local, some import selections, lots.of made in china. I won't stop here again.

Boomland is our go to stop when traveling this stretch of 55. The restrooms are always clean, lots of snack options, and a great little shop to stretch your legs. Our family loves the taffy!

A large gas station with clean restrooms that's a Tourist stop. If I had more time I would have liked to stay a little longer and browse through the large store of items. Looks like there is also a separate building to buy fireworks. Probably the reason for their name.
