I unfortunately had a bad experience with my appointment on Wed. June 8th, 2022 with Dr. Elizabeth Wang. I have been with Clinica Medica Familiar since I was born and it saddens me to have to make this complain. I decided to schedule an appointment because I am suffering from extreme heartburn every day. My appointment with Dr.Wang was over the phone, she confirmed I was calling because I was experiencing heartburn. She advised me to stay away from acidic foods. Now, when I asked her if she can please provide me with some examples of acidic foods she proceeded to say, "I am not going to list everything right now you can go on Google and look it up or something." I found that to be completely unprofessional. If I wanted my answers to come from Google and not a Doctor, I wouldn't have scheduled an appointment to speak with one. I was not asking for her to list absolutely everything, but for a few examples only. After stating that, she asked if I needed anything else. I asked her if she was able to prescribe me with any medication, she might find to help me, because I am already taking Tums every morning. She said "yes I can, well umm no, umm yeah sure I will" Again that sounds incredibly unprofessional to me, because she did not sound so sure about that. I decided to reassure with her she was prescribing me medication by asking her, "Will you be prescribing me with something? Do I have to go pick it up?" She responded with an attitude tone "Well yeah you have to go pick it up, and it's not going to be ready right now." I informed her I was not interested in picking it up in that exact moment, my questions where just to reassure I was going to have medication prescribed to me and I had something to pick up after work. My appointment was at 12:40pm. I did not get out of work till 6:15pm meaning I arrived at the Walgreens at 6:35pm. In which the pharmacist assured me that they had not received the prescription and had nothing for me to pick up. All this is just completely unacceptable and unprofessional. I will not like to be seen by Dr. Elizabeth Wang for any of my future appointments.

I had made an appointment for my dad for his routine check. As we arrive and been called to the back this MA Ana Carballo was sooo nice and kind. And until today she’s been the best helping my dad with his follow up and his prescription medications.

I had an appointment at 4 o'clock and I'm very disappointed because doctor refused to see my child due to a light cough he have had for months since June and I specify that it could be his allergies. We had birds, and we had to rehome them as well for our own health and we saw he was improving and I also share other health issues I was going thru and diagnosed. The nurses in the front desk were nice and I know they were following doctor's orders. My complain is directly with the pediatrician. It took months [4months] to get an appointment for my child. I have taken him to the ER and they can't do much and only his primary doctor can. The nurses told me pediatrician was going to call me 15 minutes later to follow up with my son and he never called me I find it very disrespectful and like I said it shouldn't take months to be able to see the pediatrician when I told the clerk his symptoms. I don't want my child to get worse whatever his diagnosis is and also I requested an x-rays chest to determine his diagnosis and yet that was denied.

If you have health insurance, and it is your first time, you need to make an appointment. Expect to have a physical exam along with your appointment for when you will be seen. You will also need to bring all of your medications, a legal identification card, and your insurance card. If you are being transferred from another clinic, everything is the same, but you will also need to bring your medical record. If you do not have health insurance, you can still make an appointment, and all the requirements will be the same, except the need to present the insurance card. We offer membership packages, which will help you with the expense of your appointments throughout the year. Beyond that, whether it is the flu shot, or vaccinations you can come walk-in at any time. If you want to be seen for some other reason and still want to make a walk-in visit, I suggest you call if there is an opening, if you don't want to call then you risk not being seen. The best time to call would be 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.
