Everyone loves Daiso. A tad more expensive than the other dollar stores (starting @ $1.50), but many of their items are decently better quality. Really broad selection of items. You can easily go in for a single item, get lost perusing each aisle, checking out little trinkets while constantly trying to think of any reason that you can to convince yourself of it's necessity, all the while being blown away by the slew of random inventive items providing some of the most amazingly ingenuitive solutions to the problems you never knew you had, then finally checking out at the cash register, sun down, many hours later, and return to your car with two bags each caring a couple dozen random items , while you start wondering what happened, and sadly not even remembering if you purchased the original item you went there for (speaking from experience). Not so great They do have a few less favored aspects. First, (similar, to many other $1 stores) their prices *start* at $1.50 and go up from there. Plus all the higher prices are given in yen, and while it's super easy to check the conversion on postings around the store, sometimes it might be a little hard to keep track of when calculating final price, and may in some way influence the likelihood you will purchase it or not. The biggest issue I have is just their policy of no-returns. Though if the item is defective they should likely accept it back. But because of the no return policy there have been times I haven't purchased a number of items because i was unsure I would really end up wanting to return it, while also purchasing a number of items that i wish i hadn't and would have liked to return. Employees always happy to help. Clean store. Definitely check it out of you hadn't.

One of the larger daiso stores with more items available

My first visit to a Japanese store. It has all those small and nice stuff. Cutlery, ceramic or wooden utensils and decorative items were amazing. They were unique and affordable. Only drawback was that nothing was returnable. Everything bought was final sale. Highly recommend this place for small shopping where individual items cost anywhere between 1-10$.

I love Daiso!! Today I needed some organizing notebooks for a few projects and didn't want to pay a fortune. I found what I needed. Rhe thing about Daiso is almost everything f is priced by the Yen.. the beauty of that is there are plenty of charts right there in every isle to explain the conversion the the US dollar. If it doesn't have a price it's $1.50 . Yes one dollar and 50 cents.. Not to be confused with 50 Cent who seriously is amazing. Daiso is fantastic and so well priced, organized, clean, and has everything you didn't even know you needed beside everything you do. I also purchased an adorable hedgehog stuffed "bolster" pillow for $4 BUCKS! I found some great notebooks!! Graph paper, lined, and even one that is really perfect. I will post pics! Do yourself a favor, put on your mask and head down to Daiso for all your unknown needs. They also are working that social distancing ro perfection and literally clean every checkout station following every. Yes EVERY customer. Carts are all cleaned also. They also have some beauty products and some Japanese food. Forgot to mention that.
