Very rude and not helpful at all my experience was horrible! Im never going back to this branch again. I actually called corperate office to make a complaint about one of there tellers who was really rude to me for no reason. It sucks because the way you treat people can really effect some ones whole day.

After being referred by a friend that is a lender to deal directly with the banks for my new home loan, I went to this branch of Union Bank in Tustin and met with the Mortgage Consultant Asst VP. After running my credit report and seeing that my previous home loan with UB was spotless and paid off, he felt I was a very good candidate for a new home loan. So, we started the process in Mid-March. My case was a little unique so the rep had to do some research on how to structure the deal. Initially he told me we were going to have to record title on the property so I got my buddy involved that does title. We waited for 2 weeks to hear from the underwriter who then told us we do not need to do title and we would have to do cash out; really glad I reached out to my buddy. SMH! Without getting into too much detail about my deal, there were some other housekeeping issues that could have been addressed while we were waiting to hear back from the underwriters, which always seemed to take days on end (even weeks in some instances). At the end of the day, the deal fell thru and I felt like I wasted 6-8 weeks and my case was mis-managed by UB. I was charged $550 for an application fee which was a complete waste of money. The mortgage consultant was a nice enough guy and would return my calls and emails within a day or so, but ultimately the experience not a good one. I have applied and received 2 home loans that were similar to this one in the past and both times I used a third party lender and I can say with 100% confidence the experience was so much better its not even close. I will never consider working directly with a bank again and certainly not UB in Tustin. And I would highly advise anyone who is considering using UB directly to talk with a third party lender first as they can always use UB and consider other banks as well. I hope this review is helpful and can save you a wasted $550 and 6-8 weeks of your life.
