I took my rabbit in for an examination for a fracture and they claimed that she fractured her whole pelvis. They mentioned the surgery was going to be pricy. We asked for the x-ray and they told us that we will receive it in a week, which made no sense. We ended up getting the x-ray that day and we took the x-ray to a specialist. The specialist mentioned that the rabbit only fractured one side of her pelvis. The specialist also mentioned that the surgery isn’t as pricy as the veterinarian had told us. This meant that this hospital gave us false information so they can benefit themselves.

The Yelp reviews are completely inaccurate. This place is amazing. They provide great care for my little man, Pepper (cat). They explain everything in great detail. I live in Monrovia, so the cost of pet care in my city is outrageous but Monterey park Animal Vet prices are beyond fair! Animal care is naturally expensive. I’ve call almost every Vet hospital in Los Angeles county to compare prices and this Vet is very fair compared to others. So happy I found this place for my pepper.

Horrible they will scam you and charge extra for everything they should be ashamed to be taking advantage of people and their pets. Way over priced. only came here because it was near by and my dog was having an allergic reaction and they said they can see her fast but when you arrive you must check in on the phone but the lines are busy and they won’t let you walk in to check in. Waited outside for an hour and still can’t get through even though they can clearly see me waiting outside and they know that I’m here for my appointment. I’m the only one here. Horrible service, over priced just don’t come here, do yourself a favor and listen to all the bad reviews this place has. $170 for visit and $780 for treatment.

I used this vet in the past for other pets. And my experience was okay. Pricey but ok. So last week I decided to give them abother shot with a new pet. I took her in for medicine for ticks. And update on her vaccines. She was a healthy puppy going in on Friday. Doctor even said this during our call. I walked out on Friday thinking ok. Everything went great. This can be her regular doctor. Everyone was nice. Pricey $240 for vaccines and tick medicine. But ok. But fast forward to 2:30 am Saturday morning my poor puppy is puking all night. So I call the vet. Ask if it normal if perhaps the vaccines got her sick. They ask me to bring her in. And ran tests on her. Tests I had told them I had already done two weeks prior at another location. He has already done a round of antibiotics. They ran a fecal test a Parvo test. All negative. They wanted to run a blood test. For $300. They gave her more antibiotics fluids and an antinausea. Long story short. They sent me home with a $700+ bill and all they said is she might have a GI problem. They are not even sure. Doctor said " sometimes we as humans get stomach bugs. Dogs do to." Later that evening my dog was fine. Following morning 100% back to normal. If you ask me. They made her sick Friday. So I could go back and they can bleed me dry. The worst part is when the doctor said." oh., we don't have to give her anything." SO HE WOULD RATHER HAVE THE POOR ANIMAL SUFFER IN PAIN. THEN PROVIDE A SERVICE. clearly he is not an animal lover only in it for the money. Never going back.
