It's very cool, but one time I accidentally moved the telescope when I was looking at a planet, and this man got angry with me. The park overall is my, a bit crazy and fun, childhood.

It's located within the park and is open on weekends. Good place for the observatory as it is in an open space away from cars but located in a residential area. Residents can go there all the time.

Very informative and interesting and educational place to visit. You can learn a lot about everything relating to astronomy from planets and moons to stars, black holes and galaxies. Definitely worth visiting since it's not as crowded as Griffith observatory and you can make requests for what you would like to see.

This location of Garvey Ranch Park Observatory is kinda odd in Monterey Park that I happened to find it through Google Maps! Very luckily, it opens in Wednesday evening at 7pm — the same day when I just found out this small observatory. Wonderful! Must return in the weekend’s afternoon when it is opened. Yay!
