There were very few people there, so a lot of things were closed. But we had a great time, everything was well maintained, and the staff we saw were very friendly and informative. We were able to walk through an exhibit with loose wallabies, three of which had babies. The giraffes were so beautiful. We saw a baby zebra, a baby elephant, among others. The zoo is working to save endangered species. The lorakeet exhibit was amazing. I had two land on me to drink nectar from my cup. Most animals that were inside to get out of the drizzling rain, we could still see or get glimpses of through the clever viewing angles and variety of viewing spots. I’m giving them the benefit of the doubt with the five stars, because I feel that if everything was open the experience would have been even better! We sit at the African Outpost. The food wasn’t amazing, but was much better than I’d expect from a tourist site. They actually had gluten-free buns. We had a burger and fries, and it was certainly better than fast food.

We love this zoo just because of the animals. There is a nice variety and the exhibits are informative. We hate the hills!!! I would wear walking shoes, light clothes, hat and glasses. I would bring food and drink in a cooler, bottle for water (stations available to refill) and a spray bottle for water and a fan (little ones).

Beautiful zoo, with healthy animals and very well-kept enclosures. Very clean grounds. I was very impressed with how friendly the park layout was for disabled people. Lots of quiet, shady places to sit when the other guests got to be a bit too much.

My daughters first trip to the Zoo for her 3rd birthday. We had a blast! I will say there were quite a few exhibits that were closed or looked rough, and we honestly didn't really see all that many animals. Idk if it was the time if day (late afternoon) or just an off weekend but I definitely expected more to be going on with the animals. But they can't be up and out constantly so I think we just caught them at nap time 😊

@nathan maybe they have and no ones answered, don’t be rude :)
They have 2 exhibits. One outside for the penguins that are used to warm weather. Currently they are cleaning the inside exhibit for the cold weather penguins
Yes 1 male and 1 female right now.
The elephants were not out last this Wednesday but I did ask and one of the employees said that they should be out in the next week or so.
Same as normal business hours.
9:30am till 5:30pm. I work in admissions. So I'll be there too... Have fun!!!
