Usually, they locate inmate and he will get the correspondence that was sent to him from his previous facility

Search his name and info @ lasdinmateinfo. It won't show what he was arrested for but it will show if it's a misdemeanor or felony and a bail amount. If you contact a bail bondsman they might be able to tell you what he is being charged with. Also it will show when his next court date and location is.
