24oz Ribeye and Fried chicken. The bread and Strawberry butter is so delicious. One of the best steaks I have ever eaten in my life. Super friendly.

Traveling to Equality for Sunday lunch at The Red Onion was definitely worth the drive. The menu is considered "home style", you can order one meat and up to three sides. Lots of variety, we both opted for the fried chicken. Simply put - the food was delicious. There is no skimping on the sides and the fresh bread is awesome. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.

This is a popular restaurant in Southern Illinois, plan on waiting to be seated. I ordered Surf and Turf, steak was tender and served with lobster. Would definitely order again. Be sure and save room for pie...delicious. Wonderful waitress, polite and friendly. Great service!

The Red Onion serves their regular menu Tuesday thru Saturday from open to close. Prime Rib is offered on Friday and Saturday from 3p-close. A special "Homestyle menu" is served on Sundays that updates weekly. Hours: Monday: Closed Sunday 11a-3p Tues: 11a-3p Wed & Thur: 11a-8p Friday & Sat. 11a-10p
