I have never had a bad experience at a Cracker Barrel until now. The server was great ( which is why I didn't give it 1star)but, the food not so much. Firstly it took a very long time to get our food.. We ordered the fried catfish and it was so over cooked that the breading had the texture of sand. The dumplings and macaroni were cold . The only thing I enjoyed were the fried apples. The lady who checked us out was so sweet. I will return to Cracker Barrel I'm hoping this was just a bad day.

We stopped in about 2 PM on Sunday of July 4th weekend. They were extremely busy. We have never seen a Cracker Barrel so staffed up. They had multiple seaters. They had at least 21 servers, 3 greeters, 3 cashier's, multiple bussers and 3 managers. The service was quick and efficient. Everyone was doing every job. Managers were clearing tables. Servers were clearing and sweeping, etc. It was definitely a well oiled machine of service. The breakfast food was not quite up to standard. The Biscuits were light and fluffy. The gravy must have been microwaved, as the little blue bowl was so hot you could barely touch it, but the gravy was only slightly warm. The over easy eggs were cooked properly, but tiny and cut in rectangles. The sugar ham was cooked to death, hard and dry. The bacon on one plate was crispy. The bacon on another plate was completely limp and nasty, although ordered crispy. Thankfully, it was replaced. The scrambled eggs with cheese were a flat, dry, tough pancake with a slice of cheese simi-melted on top. The hashbrown casserole was very good. So, loss of 2 stars for inconsistent food. Plus of 2 stars for Service above and beyond the expected and demonstration of teamwork under pressure. With management this involved, I am sure that the food consistently will come back as they aren't so slammed.

I love Cracker Barrel,! One of my favorite places to eat. Down home cooking at its best. Love the sweet carrots, green beans like grandma cooked. Great meatloaf and oh that fried chicken and the chicken and dumpling is a must have. Great breakfast! Love those pancakes with wonderful maple syrup, try them with eggs, bacon, ham or sausage oh so good. Makes my mouth water just thinking about them. They have lots of other great food on their menu. What can I say I haven't tried anything I didn't like. By the way folks I've talked about all this food it has made me so hungry. It's to late tonight but I'll see you there in the morning. Think I will stay for lunch too! I will be hungry after I do all the shopping in the wonderful gift shop. They have about anything you want. Lots of cute things. Love it love it! CM One thing I forgot to mention is the staff! They are ALL very friendly and helpful... What ever you need they will help you with it. Hope you enjoy your visit!

It's your typical Cracker Barrel, Loaded with cute items, as well as delicious food. I had no issues here. The waitresses were all very friendly, the food was very good, the atmosphere was lively. Very good employees at this location. They definitely have it together here! ❤️
