This is an edit to a previous review. Porters is a great place, that always makes you feel welcome, with a very friendly, helpful staff. And the place is always amazingly clean. It is helpful that the store is only a mile from my house, and often it is more cost efficient to spend a little more at Porters as opposed to driving across the water. My personal opinion is that a little more selection in tools and hardware, such as a selection of the lower end stuff would go a long way in a lot of people's wallets. I'm a big supporter of small business, especially small business in my town, but like many other people, my wallet can't always say no to Walmart and Lowes. But thank you Porters, for being there, right down the street, and thanks for employing such a great staff.

Friendly and extremely helpful. Very knowledgeable on lake issues. Close and convenient parking. I would have given 5 stars if the staff had worn face masks.

Very helpful and friendly staff every time I visit. Duane was a great! He helped me figure out all the parts I needed for my new dock pump. They have some of everything you may need here to save you time and effort. Even a new Hallmark Gold Crown section with the best card selection on this side of the lake! Stop by and check this place out!
