This hotel has definitely cut some corners and as a result, it feels cheap. Its a nice location and the breakfast food was good, but there were too many cons to recommend staying again. The breakfast staff were great, but the rest of the staff was lacking in training and is likely not paid enough/staffed enough to care about their jobs. -Breakfast sits out for a long time if there isn't the foot traffic to change things out. -Front desk staff gave us a room with a broken door and while it was fixed, they didn't acknowledge at any point that we received a downgrade in room (Business King > Standard King) -Pool seems to only be opened when the staff feel like it, not the 6AM-10PM as advertised -Rooms are only cleaned every 3rd night (COVID policy) but saw other families struggling to get extra towels & we ran out of toilet paper on night 2 -Between rooms is quiet but stay on the top floor if you don't want to hear every movement above you This hotel needs some major updates and renovations done to make it a good budget hotel, and it needs more oversight from management. If all of the staff were as friendly and helpful as the breakfast staff, this would be a great place. As is though, skip it and pay more to get a better experience.

Request made during stay not done. Coffee pot did not work first morning. Requested new coffee pot and room to be cleaned. Room was not cleaned. Was told would be cleaned the next day…. We were checking out the next day, that was helpful?! Coffee pot left on desk… with two knee replacements and a hip replacement no easy feat for me to climb under the desk on hands and knees to plug new coffee pot in!! At check out I ask to see manager on duty and was told she was on the phone. Waited a bit and said would return after breakfast. I know it was free, BUT eggs not edible. Returned to front desk and was told the manager had left. She had some errands to run! There were two other guests wanting to speak with her also! Unbelievable!!

Room was absolutely filthy, first room we were given had used bathroom towels, no cleaning was done and cockroaches, front staff told us there was absolutely no refunds after we check in which we did five minutes before. We reluctantly took his offer of a new room which was no better. We left and went to the holiday inn express down the road which is in pristine condition. Do not waste your time and money.

Our room was cleanish. If we were staying for more than one night I’d ask for a refund and find somewhere else to stay. I’ve stayed at a few hotels in Missouri and I’m beginning to think they have a different idea of clean. The room looks straight out of the 90’s and the dust and toothpaste flecks on the bathroom mirror are perhaps about the same age. Wallpaper is peeling in the bathroom and sink faucet drips constantly. The whole place could use a remodel. Edited to add that the next morning we noticed how dirty the room really was. We even found a toenail clipping so now I’m wondering if they even vacuum. Also the toilet overflowed I’m guessing due to old plumbing and lack of maintenance. Luckily my husband turned off the supply line before it got to bad. I have no idea how this place won awards a couple years ago and one was from AAA. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Not sure we eat big breakfast. Then busy all day, then dinner around 6-8pm
Usually the check in is at 3 p.m. If you need to get in your room earlier, contact them. Most of the time they can accommodate.
