The only reason I’m doing 2 stars is due to the hour round trip to take the sky tour, paying $10 per person. I wanted to drive my car up there but was unable to. We enjoyed the winery. Good wine selection, good food. Just disappointing methods of transportation. Not sure what those who are disabled would do.

I really liked the restaurant itself. I ordered the Fireball cheese ball with crackers it is delightful it is spicy. I then ordered the Chicken salad on a croissant and kettle chips. The chips were great not too greasy, not too salty. However I was sadly disappointed in the Chicken Salad. It had no grapes and no pecans. When I told my waiter he stated that he would mention it to the chef but did not offer to remove it or even a discount since it was not what was promised from their menu. This would have not been so bad but they make you take the gondola to their restaurant for $10.00 each person and the waiters automatically put their gratuity on your check at 20%. As well be where there is a charge for paying with your credit card, also not mentioned by the wait staff.

Can only get there by the ski lift, $10 per person. Can't drive or walk there. Was told it's to help slow the spread of COVID but they don't clean anything between riders. Definitely the weirdest winery experience ever. If you're scared of heights avoid this place. Pretty view at sunset. Almost zero gluten free options on the menu.

It's a fun experience if you're not afraid of heights. Gondola cost $10 per person to get to the top. Wish driving was an option. No wine tasting. Gratuity is automatically added to your bill. Morgan was awesome! Owner was very friendly and accommodating to our party. 5 stars for staff!

I drove up there last week with a group. It was a great time.
In the $40 range before tip.
Aerie's Winery remains open during all but the most severe flooding. The flood road detour that diverts traffic from IL 3/Market Street (entering Grafton from Jerseyville, Godfrey, and points North/Northeast) at Washington Street provides direct access to Aerie's hilltop amenities including our Winery, Lodging, and Gift Shop. You may have to bypass a few "Road Closed - Local Traffic Only" barriers, but if you can get to the concrete bridge at Washington & Market Streets, you can get to Aerie's.
