We were craving a pastrami sandwich and man we came to the right place! We walked into this place looked around and felt like we were in NYC! Warmly greeted in this Jewish deli and found an amazing array of baked goods that you would find in NYC. We loved this place and I think you will too! Just go!

Incredible food and a solid mixed drink/morning cocktail selection. The food is great. Saul’s has their challah based dishes down. I’m a huge fan of their challah french toast, and loved their take on eggs benedict over challah. There are indoor and outdoor dining options. The service is quick and polite.

A friendly and authentic Jewish Deli in Berkeley. We ordered matzoh balls soup and laktes to eat at their causal outdoor table through QR code. The matzoh balls were light and soup was hot and tasty. Laktes were crunchy and delicious. Yum!

Quite disappointed in the Turkey Reuben I got today. The bread was good, but the rest did not live up to expectations. The turkey was dry and tasted just like regular oven roasted turkey from a deli. There was a rather small amount of cheese and sauerkraut. The side of coleslaw was maybe 2 tablespoons worth. Not at all a satisfying sandwich for $16.

We are not
We were there about two weeks ago (during COVID-19 social distancing restrictions) and there was a seating wait list. We have eaten there several times pre-COVID and observed the same seating priority order. If they take reservations, I am unaware. But if you call first thing in the morning, perhaps you can score a table. Either way, SAUL'S is fantastic and you won't be disappointed.
Sauks is starting delivery. If you order online www.saulsdeli.com, it will ask you to choose pick up or delivery and if you choose delivery then it will give the hours that we are delivering
