They FALSELY advertised puppies available for adoption that were NOT available at their location CONS: (1) This place posted puppies for adoption on 3/26/21 to be available for adoption 3/2721. We called and were told adoptions are first come first served basis, we drove 4 hours to this place to be the first ones. We arrived there was a line. As soon as they opened they told everyone that if we were there for the puppies that they had already been adopted early that morning. People were upset as how did the adoptions happen if they were supposed to be on first come basis. We questioned and they said that they were turned over to PETCO for them to handle the adoptions. People left frustrated. What this SPCA did was deceptive advertising. This was very disappointing and we DONT recommend this place. (2) No friendly staff to ask if anyone needed help. (3) if you take little ones don’t let them wonder around as they can easily get lost in this place (4) 95% of the available dogs were adult or senior dogs. The smaller dogs which were about 5 were had a sign of availability for future date which was not going to work for us being from out of town. PROS: During our visit one employee kept reminding people to keep their distance, despite her high pitch tone which made her sound rude I guess the fact that we are in a pandemic and I want to stay safe it was appreciated that she reminded people

They dont like to help they have some shrewd up people working their at the front office. Hope it's not like that where the pets are . messed up . they need workers that care. They are rurd.

We dropped in to look at dogs. First time being there.I was with my brother and my 2 year old. One of the young girls was super friendly but the person who seemed in charge was beyond rude made us feel very unwelcomed and uncomfortable like we were doing something wrong. Such a weird environment. Maybe she's just better with animals lol. Definitely not a nice person especially if your running SPCA.

Dogs are sweet, but the woman who runs the place is very very discriminating about who gets to adopt. I successfully adopted my dog, Lucy, from SPCA of Modesto three years ago, but recently was rejected from adopting a second dog. This woman has very little appreciation for a dog's ability to adjust and shine in a new home. I was very disappointed. These pups need to have the chance to join a family and get a forever home!!!

No answer! That's sad!
Is she house broken?
I live like a 1/4 mike from the spcs on yosemite Blvd. In Stanislaus county, I would like to read and or talk to the dogs!, I'll even pick up doo doo.
No, they aren't. I truly think they should change that. If they made Mondays closed and opened on Saturday, they would be able to have more people see them that can't see them on week days. In turn help people rescue more animals.
Not sure u have to call them
You have to get it from your doctor.
