Very clean, nice campground. Well maintained, and close to shadow mountain reservoir! Only 4 stars because the dump station was closed during our 4th of July trip.

Peaceful, quiet campground close to Grand Lake and the entrance to RMNP. Our hosts, Jeff and Diane, were excellent. They keep the entire place spotless and made us aware of the FREE military America the Beautiful pass. Thank you! I highly recommend this campground!

One of the best campgrounds we've visited in CO. Facilities were spotless and managers very nice and knowledgeable.

This site is a great, easy campsite for families who want simple access to mountain activities and lake activities around Grand Lake, view wildlife, but also enjoy camping. RVs, trailers, campers, vans, roof top tents, etc all enjoy the site. The tent pads are decently sized but varied so some are better sized than others (and some have awkward shapes), fire pits at every site with deep rings so there's limited fire-danger spread. Restroom facilities were very clean and plentiful, all within walking distance of most campsites. There's also decent tree shade for most of the reserved sites and some of the first-come sites. Although a few are exposed.

Was just here this past week! Sizes vary a little, but we were able to comfortably sit a 10x10 size tent with no issues!
We were just there this past weekend. There are no camp fires allowed, they wouldn't even allow our propane firepit. If you are a smoker, no smoking allowed outside. This all came from the camp host.
No one answers the reservation line.
We were there the 9th through the 13th and by the time we left it was really smokey and they banned all camp fires for at least 30 days the host informed us
Know that things can change rapidly there as with FCFS sites people in a site can think they are staying only to pack up and leave at noon and all of a sudden there is an opportunity. Hosts are wonderful, have them help you. when you get there...phone calling won't work.
My family and I, along with another family, swam right by the camp ground in between the boat ramp and the dam last weekend....it was chilly but still good, we did get some looks from the people fishing close by. It was rocky there but was nice and sandy in another place we swam on the other side of the dam where we walked to from the camp.
You need either a senior golden access pass or an Arapahoe national Forrest pass. You can get the ANRA passes at little kiosks posted around the area. Camp host
