Sauce on the Blue

We stopped by when we were traveling. The food ended up tasting good but I feel like I got scammed on the portions here. I got the fish of the day and decided to upgrade the size of it to a family size so I can share with my family. I asked the waiter and she said that the family size you get more of everything vs the regular size. The regular size had 5 shrimps in the description and in my family sized meal I only got 4 shrimps. You can check the picture below. I even explained this to the waiter and she still charged me full price for this. Waiter also took a long time to serve us the food and because of that the shrimp Alfredo we had kind of dried up. Just a bad experience for a place that had potential with the food taste and quality.

We loved everything about this Italian restaurant. The atmosphere is cozy, they have an extensive wine list, a huge whiskey selection and the food is delicious. We started with shrimp scampi and the chicken marsala was excellent! Make reservations in advance as this is a popular place.

The service was great. My meal, shrimp linguine, was very tasty and flavorful. I would suggest the shrimp has all the shell removed from it even the tail so it wouldn't be necessary to get my hands dirty in food to remove the tail on shell of the shrimp. However, my friend didn't enjoy how the fettuccine was cooked and barely ate her meal. The waitress noticed her food was barely eaten and asked her about it and conveyed her response to her manager and they apologized she didn't enjoy her meal and removed her cost of meal from the total. I thought that was very commendable.

Came here after a long hike. It was well after lunch hours. It’s situated right by the Blue River. You can sit outside and enjoy the river view. Maybe because I still had my dirty hiking outfit on, I didn’t get a warm look from the staff. But they were cordial. The service was good. We ordered soup, mussels and ravioli. I expected the food like what I knew and had before. But they surprised me with its unique sauce and plating. I absolutely love the basil pesto cream for the sautéed mussels. It was amazing. I’d love to try other entrees next time I’m in town.
