I used to love the Wren. Have been stopping there for 35 years. Stopped for lunch to get their awesome tuna melt. I was really disappointed. The sandwich was sub-par at best. Hopefully breakfast is as good as it used to be. I will give it one more try.

Finally I made it in here! After driving by it for years I had the opportunity to eat breakfast. My wife and I were back in California for a few days and were staying in Vacaville. I told her I had been by this place for years and wanted to give it a try. It did not disappoint! The chicken fried steak was very good and the gravy had a good flavor. The service was good and it was very busy on a Sunday morning. This is right off Interstate 80 so its easy on and off. Well worth the time and effort!

A party of 3, we went to Wren's for breakfast this morning, Friday, August 27th 2021. It's a nice hidden gem of Vacaville. The Restaurant space isn't real large, but it's real comfortable And clean. And while the restaurant was extremely busy, the Wait staff was very friendly and accommodating. The menu presents some great familiar options. And the food is very well prepared. Instead of Hash Browns, they serve O'Brian potatoes, without the onions. So it was quite tasty and complimented the other dishes well. Serving sizes were just right. Not too much, not too little.....just right. In my opinion, they have something for all cravings. We had biscuits and gravy, eggs and the chicken fried steak with country gravy. The biscuits were made Fresh and the gravy had a great flavor flavor. I didn't ask, but I believe the chicken fried steak and gravy are made in house, which is rare these days.. It was very very tasty. Our eggs were cooked perfectly, and the pancake was delicious, along with the sausage as well. As for the coffee, it was delicious, not too strong with the great flavor. They had ample parking, With easy access for people in wheelchairs or Walkers. I would highly recommend Wrens to anyone wanting a satisfying meal. A Must Try at least once! I know I'll be going again.
