I appreciate that they were thorough in the adoption process (e.g.checking with my vet, home visit, etc). They were communicative and wonderful to work with. They were extremely clear about any issues my dog had and provided all the information I might need.

Foster Pet Outreach responded quickly to my application. A few days later, the foster pup parent brought him to me for an Interview and he never left. This dog is so sweet and I'm so thankful to the wonderful crew of FPO for saving my pup and allowing me to love him. It was truly such a simple process and I. So thankful!!

PHENOMENAL place to adopt from! I was looking for a dog for a few months before I found FPO. Through this organization I applied for a particular dog but that dog was already in the process of going to her forever home. The foster parent recommended a different dog based on my interests, lifestyle, and what I had wanted in a pup! The recommended pup has been with me for almost two months now. She couldn't be more perfect! The foster parent I adopted her from was very, very knowledgeable about tips and tricks related to her personality and ways to help her adjust to our home. The foster parent is ALWAYS more than willing to answer ANY questions I have about her, even though she is 100% in my care. I have recommended this organization multiple times and cannot wait to adopt through them again when I am ready to add another pup.

All of our dogs are in foster homes so the building is only used for events, meetings and receiving animals coming into the program. We have no regular hours. Our available pets can be seen on Petfinder, Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.

Why do you guys ask such silly questions, and make it so hard to adopt a pet, there are so many pets in foster homes because you guys make it so hard &ridiculous

Every rescue and animal control has an application. Our dogs and cats actually adopt out fairly quickly and without too many issues to most adopters. I’m not sure which questions you find offensive but I’m sorry you don’t care for an application process with rescue. Most of the questions help us gauge if a home would work for a specific animal- ie do you have a fenced in yard? Not all dogs need one-some do. Some don’t. Do you have other pets? What if the foster dog doesn’t like cats and you have a cat? A question on the app saves both of us time. If you rent, we adopt to renters but if your landlord has breed or weight restrictions we have to honor that so need to know that info-hence question on an app. Is your dog current on vaccines-legally rabies is required by the state. We have to know that. We require heartworm prevention as well because we’ve treated enough dogs with heartworm to not wish it on anyone. I don’t see an application on file from you in our system.

Hi Casey, You can visit our website: www.fosterpetoutreach.org and fill out an application for a dog that interests you. We post our puppies and available dogs on our Facebook page and Instagram account. Once you apply, the application is reviewed and the foster home will reach out to contact you about the puppy.

As far as black and white we only have Sébastian and Figaro.

I have 2 6 month old Border Collies, that I would like to find furever homes for. They were part of a litter of 8 born with me. The others I had no problem with homes. Any suggestions on where to post them?

That breed is very hard for us to place because of type of work they do. We have placed a few as working dogs on farms. Depending on their drive you might to ask places like TSC and Farm and Fleet if they have any place you can post them. Good luck.

Application forms can be found on our website. We require a vet check (if you have a vet) and a home visit. Our current adoption fee (2019) is $250 for dogs 5 months and younger and $225 for dogs 6 months and older. Cats/kittens are $75.
