I have very mixed feelings about this place. When I moved my mother to the Wellington, we had such high hopes. The Director seemed to know everyone and was very pleasant and accommodating. There were lots of activities and my mother was very happy there, for a short time. I noticed one of the reviewers stated they needed security cameras, which they had when my mother moved in. However, no one there seemed to know how to access them or use them. All of a sudden there was a change in the management. Some new control freak came on board, and some of the wonderful staff we had come to know and trust, disappeared. The security cameras only worked if the control freak that wanted to keep someone out took a look. If one of the residents left, they had no idea how to access them (conveniently). Emails were constantly ignored, and excused made constantly. We paid extra to have medications given to my mother, and they tried to force us to use their 'own' pharmacist. When we moved my mother from this place there was medication that they had not given to ,mother and the bottle was never opened. I would no longer recommend this place. If management changes, possibly it could be better. I wouldnt trust them

I worked here back in the mid 2000s. It was first my job as concierge. I was young, had crazy spikey hair but their staff and management did not discriminate. I was liked by the staff and I also met the friendly and kind residents of the wellington. I helped out on numerous tasks such as helping the marketing and sales team group, admissions and sometimes security at night. The kitchen crew used to make me left over meals as I would cover another concierge who had kids and I would work from 5pm-1:00am. I met a lot of WWII veterans at this place. They were also very nice to me (despite my lack of dressing professionally) but formerly known as "Renaissance at the Wellington", they did not discriminate but did politely ask me if I can wear something more professional but to my own choosing. The staff was caring and really did like their residents. There were some times where the days are bad and most CNA's and LNA's were not having a good day so if you looking to be a CNA or nursing assistant, best you have the patience in the world. I am not sure what this place is like now but I referred two families here years ago and I am sure they were taken care of. I loved working here and I could, I work here again but my profession changed and if there is a suitable need of my profession in this place (technology), I would surely work here.

Lovely setting with lots of trees, especially in the large and relaxing courtyard .... the dining room and library underneath have a huge two-story bay window and the most beautiful apartment layouts have a diagonal kitchen off the living rooms with lots of windows, little porches and attentive care.
