Adding more fantastic service when I needed forms filled out and the Neurology staff went above and beyond, namely Yadera Tavariz. Thank you K-P for helping us "thrive." Kaiser Permanente is known for being the "one-stop" insurance-provider hospital system. And it is convenient. You have to research who your practitioners are because they vary. I am 98% thrilled with the care, the diagnosis and the treatment for my auto-immune condition, myasthenia gravis. My brilliant neurologist, Dr. Paul Kazimiroff not only diagnosed me but made sure I had the laparoscopic surgery (De. Lee) that turned my condition around. His department is stellar and these are photos from last week. They make you feel special and cared for and that is all part of adding to health. When I had a problem with the pharmacy, the responsive member services took care of it promptly, thoroughly and cordially The mail order is also fantastic! If you have to go to the pharmacy, go at night.

I've submitted a formal complaint on behalf of my fathers care and I'm still waiting for a response. Below are just a few of our concerns. 1. After being transferred from Sunset Kaiser we found a roach in my fathers room, he was not repositioned although it was required and we often had to ask the nurses to do so given that he was in a comma. 2. The case manager we were assigned (parker) did not inform us about how he would be helping us as we navigated this unfortunate situation. He actually began by telling us my dad was ready to be discharged and we needed to find a facility for him ASAP. He did not provide any information regarding what was best given his injury and constantly pressured us to make a decision. He kept stating that he was not a financial advisor, however, he advised we sell our house to pay for a facility. We informed him our father had met his out of pocket and deductible and he still asked us to go to a facility and pay $10,000 to secure a bed. We then called member services to clarify and they informed us 1. he should not be asking us to go pay money directly to a facility and 2. we were correct he had met his deductible and out of pocket and did not need to pay for the facility at this time. We informed the case manager who then apologized after a week of pressuring us to move him out of the hospital. 3. Once we did move him to a facility that Kaiser partners with we were assigned a new case manager who again did not provide proper information about their role. She would only call us to deliver information that the doctor did not want to talk to us about. We emailed several times asking follow up questions and never received a response. My father suffered a traumatic brain injury, on your website it clearly states that this type of injury requires ongoing therapy. However, after 1 week of therapy at the facility that Kaiser contracts we were told that they would be stopping therapy. I don't understand how you expect someone who suffered a severe TBI and was in a comma for 5 weeks is supposed to get up or sit up after 1 week? We fought back, asked proper questions, and therapy was reinstated because no one wanted to provide us with a written statement answering our questions. We followed up several times regarding our questions since they stopped therapy again and I'm STILL WAITING FOR ANSWERS.....AFTER 6 FOLLOW UPS!!!!!!

My stay at Kaiser has been amazing. It’s my first time getting any kind of surgery or anesthesia and they have made this scary process a breeze. My nurses are amazing and attentive. Honestly wouldn’t choose another facility if they gave me a choice. Thank you Kaiser.

I absolutely love this hospital and the staff. If it weren’t so far away, I’d make it my primary. The nurses are highly skilled and caring. The doctors are amazing and take their time to connect with their patients. That’s quality care. They’re always checking in to see if I’m okay or if I need anything without me having to call. Not a single complaint. Kaiser WLA sets the standard for quality and compassionate care.

If that was your first time in an ER, then you will soon come to realize the unfortunate state the United States health care system is in and why you must wit so long. It is sad and requires a revolution.

Hello. Be sure to not post any more personal information here to avoid identity theft. It's safest to use the contact info on the back of your Kaiser card or any official documents you received directly from Kaiser Permanente. If you're registered on kp.org, you can log in and see past visit information. Hope this helps...
No you have too call before to make a nurse appointment.
No you can not go inside
The Hospital Transporter will wheelchair you to the area where a friend or family member is picking you up if and when the Doctor instructs this to be done. You may request a wheelchair also if need be, but a Hospital Transporter is a necessity.
I think so

Kaiser Permanente is a private own insurance company and don't accept third party insurances. Might cost you and arm and a leg but just to be sure give them a call!
