This is my first time writing a google review, and I want to share how great the management team and the apartment is. I moved in about 2 years ago, and I had to sign my contract from abroad. It was during Covid, and not many apartments were responsive. The management team at Axis was super responsive, responsible and helpful, making my leasing experience outstanding. For two years, every time I reached out to the management or maintenance team, they always replied within a day, fixed issues as soon as possible. The staffs are friendly, neighbors are quite, and the amenities are great. I know how difficult it is too find a good apartment with great staffs, lots of amenities, and good services. I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a pleasant living experience!

This is my first time writing a review and sharing my personal experience about a place I lived in and loved. I lived in Axis, building 12 for almost two years and finally decided to move out due to some personal reasons. The quality of service and attention that you receive at Axis is rare to find in a major city like Los Angeles. The staff (front desk, maintenance, leasing staff and etc...) is supper friendly and helpful. If you submit a maintenance request, the request gets fixed within few hours. The front desk staff/ security personnel are all very helpful, polite and friendly. If you contact the leasing office about a concern, they will go out of their ways to resolve the matter as soon as possible. The appliances used in the units are very good quality. The common areas are always super clean. We even had some extra cleaning routine during COVID, because they wanted to make sure the residents felt safe in regards to health concerns we all had during the peak of COVID. And here is the catch, the root cause of all the greatness is coming from a super human called Marcus Hamm ( the property manager for both Axis 11 & 12). He really knows the definition of asset/property management and he is an expert in his area of work. Aside from being an excellent property manager, Marcus is a great human being and treats each tenant with so much care and attention. I really recommend Axis for living because you really would feel like HOME by living there. Marcus and team, please keep shinning. You guys are great.

I scheduled a tour on Saturday at 1pm and it was already super unprofessional from the start. There was only one leasing agent, Terrell, so I had to wait an additional 30 minutes after the scheduled time. I viewed the apartment and decided to put in the application with the $600 deposit to hold the unit. Terrell stated he would call me on Tuesday to confirm the approval or denial. He never called. I had to reach out in which he told me that he can’t get my application approval because allegedly his manager had to go to the ER (sad, but isn’t my problem). He told me he’d have an answer the next day. Still, no call in which I had to reach out again. Terrell told me the same sob story and that he asked the district manager to approve. Never happened. Had to call a third time in which Terrell said he’d call me back in 10 minutes. Never happened. 3 hours passed and I finally get a call asking if I can provide an offer letter for proof of employment. I stated I provided all the necessary legal documents required and I don’t understand why I’d have to do such a thing. Terrell stated since previous tenants lied, now I have to suffer. I told him I feel like this is too much because I provided all the legal documents and I don’t feel like I need to provide my offer letter. I asked to speak to the manager and he said he’d call me. Nope, I get an email denying my application due to lack of employment verification which isn’t true since I provided 4 check stubs and a bank statement, on the application I also provided my direct manager’s number for verification. This is quite illegal to do I feel as though they just wanted to discriminate against me for whatever reason. Such a stressful and unprofessional experience!

I just moved in a little over a week ago and I've had the best experience. Tamesha was my leasing agent and made the process as smooth as possible, I ended up changing which unit I wanted last minute and she helped me without any problems. I've viewed so many apartments in DTLA, and can assure you this building is worth the price. I get almost 700 sq ft for the same price other buildings in the area charge for 500 sq ft. Also another important thing to note is the units are so quiet!! I haven't heard any footsteps, appliances, noises, etc from any of the units around me because the walls and floors are so thick. That was so so important to me because my last apartment was incredibly noisy. I HIGHLY recommend this building to anyone looking to move to the downtown area!!
