My first visit was EXCEPTIONAL, food was on point, favorable, right temperature when items came out to the table, hands down delicious. It's a MUST to try the Tostones Con Carne, I will be stopping in SOON to grab those to go, delicious. My only complaint is during my visit a patron had their dog with them inside the restaurant/bar, couldn't have been a service dog because those are clearly marked. And they were vaping which I think is against IL law. I would have given a 5-star rating but knocked it down 1.

A food critic writes about this the day I went. He talked about the 1/4 lb. Burger and how great it is. His article said it was the best burger in Chicago. He was right… The burger was awesome and juicy. I added bacon of course because… well… bacon. The service was fast and friendly. The tables were clean and the place was poppin’ fort a Thursday lunch service. If you can go here.. you should.

an inexperienced staff who struggled to get an order right isnt a huge issue, i try to be patient, but management being drunk and barely able slur her way through a sentence without hiccuping is not a good look. that and a willingness to over serve customers does not create a safe or welcoming environment. im saddened to say i can no longer recommend this bar, there are plenty of others very close by that are more deserving of your patronage.

I've been frequenting Woody's for almost 2 years now and there's a reason why.. Lets start with the food! The food here is amazing, i have literally tried everything! This isn't your typical all fried bar food. Everything comes out tasting like it was made with love. My favorites would be the 1/2lb burger and the cheesiest mac and cheese ever! There are food options for all ages(very family friendly, like being at Buffalo Wild Wings). The environment is always upbeat and the music is always good, and there's Karaoke on Tuesdays! The bartenders do a great job at remembering the regulars and usually have your go-to beverage pulled as soon as you walk in the door. If this isn't your local spot for food or to catch a sports game, i highly suggest you give them a try! Thanks Woody's Team!
