It's an old movie theater that's has nostalgia for the residents in carpentersville. Somethings have been getting an upgrade such as the seats, that now have reclining and heat settings. Lastly the drinks have also been changed, like new fountain drink machines and other bottle beverages which includes alcoholic ones.

Cinema 12 is a classic staple in Carpentersville I have been coming here with my parents since I was little and now I can bring my kids. The prices are unbeatable here, with the upgrades in the seating and concession stand the prices are still reasonable. I love the nachos with jalapeños and extra cheese, and don’t forget the rewards card. You can earn points for free movie tickets or snack. I always recommend this theater for big movie premieres!! I love it here!

This theater is amazing. They have $5 matinee and $7 regular tickets($5 all day on Tuesdays). Recliner seats, good sound quality, clean, free parking...no complaints whatsoever. They have all the new releases. One FYI For those used to going amc or Regal- you buy your movie tickets and popcorn from the same counter.

Very good place the seats very comfortable and the price is not expensive like in other places, at least my family and I really like the place.

Thank you for your inquiry. Classic Cinemas doesn't operate the theatre in Elgin. We operate Cinema 12 Theatre in Carpentersville. It reopened on June 26, 2020.
No but of your like me Woodstock and Cinema 12 are not far apart so if you miss Woodstock check Cinema 12 sometimes they have more showing since they have 4 more screens
