Pretty cool exhibit, would be better if there was more signage and if you could actually enter buildings.

We found this place by way of a service called "Only in Illinois." It looked interesting in the description. When we arrived, it was on a Wednesday and it was really humid, so we didn't stay long, maybe an hour at most. The site looked run down. I did like how the interior of each building was preserved so we could get a good feel for the times.

Unique place to walk through history. Worth a visit on a nice day to check out all the old buildings. An hour or two is a good amount of time to casually look through all the buildings. There's a small park on the river across the street that is perfect for a picnic lunch.

This place is really cool! If you are in the area you should stop. Its a simulation of an old town with a bank, church, school, etc. There is no charge but they have a donation box which I think was reasonable since it's free entertainment. Its in a canyon so make sure you have good walking shoes and wear bug spray.
