Awesome trip for motorcycles, Great River Road is an amazing ride. Only downfall is the Iowa side is gravel for 2 miles leading up to the ferry.

Very peaceful, 20 min trip. Yes, it is a little steep in price, $16 each way. You'll pay 3 times more for a baseball game and food. This is much more enjoyable.

Ferry is on demand so no specific times. During operating hours if you arrive and the ferry is not there, you are able to signal it that you are waiting.

After Labor Day open Fri Sat Sun until October 25th. Hours 10 am to 8 pm
12 to 15 cars depending on size of cars or SUV or motorcycles and even semi and even bicycles.
$15 per car, not sure about trailer
Guttenbburg is up the road North, but there is a winery at the end of the road from the ferry on the Iowa side. 2 miles from landing.
The ferry runs 10 am-8 am, Fri thru Sun until end of October. It is closed throughout the week.
Normally a porta potty on the Iowa side where you get on or off.
