I had an appointment for 11:30 AM this morning. It is now 1:33 and they haven't shown up and I haven't been able to reach the office by phone. Really? You can't even be bothered to call me?

SL&P did an outstanding job of installing our PV and battery system, adding it in piecemeal as construction of our new house proceeded. No follow-up has been necessary, the system has been working without any problems. With this system and a car now being charged at home our utility electric bill has been reduced to the fixed delivery charge, only, for months. And we have not had to reduce electricity usage during peak periods.

The company from which we purchased our solar panels went out of business and apparently took our 15 year warranty coverage with it. I searched from a company to service the system, and Sun Light and Power came through. It's never fun to pay to fix something you thought wasn't going to cost you a cent, but Adam at SL&P was engaging, explained how the system operates and why it fails, and was diligent in fixing the problem until I was back on line

I contacted Sun Light and Power for some help understanding how the new PUC approved rate structure had changed my electric bill. Dana of the service department looked at my bill and explained what was happening and never asked for a penny even though I offered to pay. My system was installed by a now defunct company in 2001. I had SL&P do a performance assessment. They found some relative small issues with worn out parts. They explained the most cost efficient way to correct the issues and did so for a very reasonable price. I strongly recommend SL&P.

Questions & Answers

Will my solar system need maintenance?

Solar is a simple, almost maintenance free technology. You should not have to replace your panels during their warranty lifetime. However, the wiring that connects your panels may need to be checked occasionally to make sure it has not been tampered with by wildlife. What is a solar battery?

Sun Light & Power | Aug 28, 2021

A solar battery is an energy storage system that allows you to have a backup power source that you can tap into at night, during peak demand periods, or power outages. Solar panels alone won’t keep your lights on when the grid is down because they are automatically switched off to protect utility workers while repairing the grid. Having a back up battery system will give you peace of mind and allow you to have 24/7 access to your power!
