We were excited about the possibility of renting here but quickly changed our mind after learning about some shady rental practices. They require a partial security deposit of $500 just to apply for an apartment (on top of the $50 application fee per adult). Their rents and lease lengths are "determined by supply and demand"--and it costs more for a standard 12 month lease than it does a nine month lease, with a lease beginning August 1st. They insisted it is "so we can get the best price possible," but in reality it is because then they can raise their rents after a simple nine month lease. Definitely not personable on the phone--tone was sing-song and condescending.

Loved living here! Beautiful apartment! The complex was kept so well maintained and clean. Maintenance was always prompt and so polite!

Honestly, management was great. We enjoyed working with Pam, however, there just wasn’t much she could do. She was very respectful and very apologetic about what we had to endure while living here, but that was it. The issues we encountered couldn’t be resolved quickly enough. It also seemed as though the tenants were never vetted either. The experience we had there was straight out of a movie. Also, The rules and guidelines of the property were always emailed out, but never enforced (ie: quiet hours, nor parking in the circle, picking up after your pets). They sent emails, but people never followed them and nothing was down about it. I would highly recommend you get an upstairs unit if you plan on living here. The building it so old that you hear every creak and noise that your neighbors make. If we had vacated an upstairs unit we may have stayed longer, but we the rent prices going up, it also wasn’t feasible. To hike up rent to meet the market for units that were not updated at all was absurd. We saw a lot of tenants moving out when we did, and not a lot of people moving in. If you do decide to live here, my only advice would be to get an upstairs unit or don’t move here at all.

Really comfortable and well laid out apartments. There are a lot of options for large storage and the ability to have your own doorway/personal garage really makes it feel like a house with all the amenities of an apartment complex. During the summer, I really took advantage of the pool. It was a great place to relax and get some sun. As winter is rolling around, I appreciate having a management team that makes sure walking paths are salted and clear of snow. It's really been a great experience so far.

you have to go the Mandel group resident portal and select the Plum Tree Apartments. From there you'll have to create an account. Make sure you have information available from your apartment (apartment number, building number). It's super convenient once you get it all set up and you can even see when packages arrive for you at the club house and submit your own maintenance requests. Additionally, if you have a roommate, partner, or spouse who shares rent, you can split it anyway you like.
