Such a beautiful area recommend camping, kayaking, and boating. The entire river is open to camping so take the canoe or boat out and have fun on a beach for the night.

Super awesome boat landings. Recently updated and they spared no expense. Gets a little crowded for parking when vehicles with no boat trailers parks in the truck and trailer stalls.

Beautiful place to visit. Fun with the family. A safe and cheap place to go camping. No complaints!
Calvary For Life
Upon arrival we found the sight we reserved completely swamped and uninhabitable. We drove back to the check in point where we found out that it had been marked as “wet” but they forgot to let us know. We were given another sight which we went to and started setting up (an hour later) and moments later while we were unloading I was told I needed to move my vehicle because campers were complaining that they couldn’t get by. However, two motor homes had just went by without an issue. I feel this was simply the hostesses way of passing the buck. The wood they sell is simply what they hack off the edges of the tree during debarking and it is rather thin. The showers are pay showers which is ridiculous after paying what we paid to camp there. The bathrooms are simply a breeding ground for mosquitoes. No paper towels or hand dryers. The place caters to Motor Homes and Trailers. They treat tent campers as second rate citizens. The sites are small and packed right so you can expect to be near your neighbors and hear them quite well. This place is nothing like it was years ago and I will never return.

Fish is not bad compared to the rest of the area I'd recommend it very fun
Austin- Just to be aware Goose Island Park is actually closed from 10pm to 5pm every day. We would recommend checking with the DNR on their rules for being on the water for overnight
You can reserve a spot online or check in before the office closes.
They have 30 and 50 depending on where you camp. No septic but dump station.
I am making the assumption you are referencing the water that is continuously flowing by shelter #3. We call it the north artesian well. All of our wells are tested annually by the La Crosse County Health Department. The artesian well was last tested on 07/29/2020 with safe results.
We have canoe and kayak rentals, no boat's
correct, no cabins. You can tent and or bring a camping unit. It is a beautiful area to visit and yes the skeeters can be bad since its on an island. Bug spray is a must.
