This was our 2nd time being there. We love it and will be going back again next year. We love the swimming area, floating down the river and the spacious sites. Owners were also very helpful!

The location of this campground is both good and bad. The sites are large and the views are great right along the river. The pool/pond is large and nice and cool on a hot day, no issues with overcrowding. The dump station is really tight and there is only 1 on the way out of the campground so there can be a wait. The store has terrible hours for example, they close at 6pm on Friday when everyone is coming after work to check in. There are some very easy improvements that could be made to really spruce the place up. Examples: the toilet seats are cracked and in bad shape and in the other bathroom they could easily paint the OSB to make it seem cleaner. The last negative is that there is no internet or cell signal here which makes it difficult to coordinate with friends/family in town. Overall it is a nice campground that has a lot of potential with a little more time and $$ investment.

O.K., say I'm not the only one... I hesitated to go here. Thoughts of a body of water amongst Iowa cornfields didn't appeal to me. MIND BLOWN! This place is heavenly serene and peaceful beyond description. 😲 We kayaked the river and hung out at the resort. Clean, family safe, and so relaxing. This place is a hidden jewel. Let the uninformed go to Brainerd. Let's keep this place just between us, O.K.?
