I find it very sad when an officer with the rank of sergeant is unprofessional in front of his subordinates. Identifying as "Right here" and inserting personal feelings of "I don't like people filming at night" are uncalled for.

Horrible experience, they arrested my son last year profiled him because he was wearing a blue warriors hat that my sister bought for his birthday. Last night they harassed him for no reason while working on uber, I’m literally scared for my son every day. My son called me right away and I rushed over so fast. My son tried to record for his safety and one of the cops told him to turn the phone off very aggressively. I am so over the profiling . Please stop!!!! If I was able to post videos here, I could show you guy’s how terrible this cops are. Officer Benjamin Whaley you are horrible and violated my son’s right’s.My son was bullied at school and now by cops, why???? Please stop!!!!!

So i got a citation for sitting in my car alone at a view spot and i called to ask questions about it and they ended up sending my call to a deputy who i brought up how a deputy drove by the same place with now 6 cars doing the same thing i was doing. He then told me that’s how the world works. And i don’t want to talk all bad about the department because i believe there are nice officers that work there and i have had experience with and they’ve usually been nice but the lack of knowledge kinda of concerns me

There was a man and woman with a baby arguing outside of my apartment around 11pm. After half an hour of waiting for them to stop, I called the SCPD. I wasn't even off the phone with the SCPD explaining my complaint when one of their cars pulled up and stopped the arguing. 3 more cars pulled up within a minute after the first. Wonderful response time, and very thorough searching skills, made this single mom feel safe in this town . Thank you!

no. the DA backs them and the chief (whoever it is at that time! since it changes all the time) has decision. So, they investigate themselves just like the sheriff. Totally corrupt.

You have to have a report number. Usually the police provide one if you ask.
