Today I went to visit my friend at this homeless shelter. She informed the scary guard that I was a guess. All I had to do is sign in. And check my temperature. I passed the temperature thing. Then my friend show me her little area. Less than 5 minutes later. The so-called manager. Came out to me and aggressive rude way. Asking me who am I what I'm doing there. I told her that I'm busy my friend. And I had okay from security to come in. And informed security who who I was. Then the so-called manager. Told me guess can I be inside. So I did go outside. My friend had to get her thing before she had to go outside. Just let you know my friends in a wheelchair. Me and her went to the smoking section in the parking lot no more than 20 minutes later. The manager and security guard came up to me saying that guess cannot be in the parking lot. She did apologize for being rude and aggressive towards me. Did I form her why didn't say anything about the parking policy was last time we talked. So me and my friend went to the sidewalk hang out start talking. How far later security guard came out started telling us that she cannot hang on the front. And I told the security guard why you didn't say anything about policy about visitors. 10 minutes later the manager came out that homeless people can I hang in front. In A public area. Because business complain about homeless people hanging out. I told her it is a Sunday there's no business open right now. And why you did not inform us about visiting policy the last two times that we talked. Also I formed why should I believe you. Also let her know this is a public area. no laws about loitering. Any public area. Big argument with the so-called manager. How can do your job right and you'll better job informing people about policies.

Clean, friendly staff, much more accommodating then other shelters. Area to keep your belongings locked up during the day! Light rail takes you about a mile walk from shelter. Only negative issue I've had is after 8pm good luck getting a blanket. Lol

I was going to go in to donate clothes, but I stopped when I heard this man yell at a young girl who was dropping off food to this shelter. Instead of being appreciative of the food he was telling her that no pictures are allowed. The young lady replied I was told to take pictures of the food for the company I work for. The man who yelled told someone to make sure the picture was deleted. I will never go back there again. If they treat people this bad for dropping off food. I think about how bad they might treat the homeless.
