Had a prev experience with horrible coughing at the beg. Of pandemic. Was told my reg dr was booked so since this is closest - I waited for a nurse/dr by the front desk lady who checked me in for a quick appointment. When they called me to go in, this Hispanic rn nurse was unprofessional and gaslighting me about how I felt about the seriousness of my symptoms. I will not go into further detail but let’s just say, it was unprofessional. She and the dr made me wait over 15 min while she just went to the back to chat with other staff wasting time, And then finally she told me just to get otc cough syrup and it’s not covered by my insurance. then, the rn said that, “ if I can afford… (she stared at some Kate spade shoes and paused as she said this to point out my shoes looked expensive), then I can afford otc cough syrup.” I got those shoes as hand me downs through a donation from friends. wow who says that? It Hurt being treated poorly & I was disgusted by this Kaiser. Later I Reported it to the management who sent me a letter basically doing nothing alleviating this situation. I reported this further to a Kaiser member services about this misconduct. They actually listened and were apologetic. This is a red flag about bad management dealing with misconduct from a nurse/dr. I really don’t recommend going here and im glad I had a friend see what I experienced as a witness. I bet there are many others who might’ve experienced similar misconduct or harassment. Also, The pharmacy workers at the register tends to mess up a lot on orders or seem weird/not know what they’re doing, dunno if they have new hires or what?

My doctor is great but WHY is the pharmacy closed when the offices are open? Kaiser - If you REALLY care about your patients, open the pharmacy when the doors open. Don't make people sit around waiting for their medicine.

I absolutely love kaiser in general but my facility here at brea the most it's never crowded and I love how they separate the children and adult waiting rooms. The pharmacy and lab are all at the same place. This is so convenient especially when you have a sick child last thing you want to do is drive to CVS or Walmart. I agree with the flu shot being mentioned more then once but as an adult you need to learn to say a firm no and put what you believe best for your child. I tell the doctors no. We never do receive the flu shot, thank you and that's that. Even after the receptionist asked the assistant and then the doctor. Lol. I remain with my answer. It's probably something they firmly believe in and want to make sure your protected. It never feels like a forceful question

My family and I have been here multiple times and we've been mostly pleased. I myself have had a pleasant experience every time that I've been there. The only reason why this place isn't getting a five star review is because my wife felt uncomfortably pressured by my kids' pediatrician to give the kids their flu shot, even if she expressed that she didn't want them to get a flu shot. We're not against vaccinations, we vaccinate our kids, but we're on the fence with the flu shot. Other than that, we've had pleasant experiences.
