For tent camping, this place was terrible! On top of each other and just on the side of the road. Most sites were just mud pits, and ours was sprinkled with hay which kept it extra gross. Self flushing toilets that drenched your bottom, showers ran out of hot water, no ice and wet/green firewood for sale at the gift shop... how disappointing! The park is great, and the rv'ers seemed to be having a good time, but campers were not happy. As everyone was drying out their tents, a smart mouthed maintenance guy came by and asked "Is this the fun part about camping?" Don't camp here... you'll be sorry...

This is my opinion and should be taken as such. This place and area was freaking AMAZING. I'm not a big hiker, but we did every trail out there except 1. We stayed for 4 nights and had a blast. The hosts were incredible. They went around as a storm was rolling through and advised all campers to put their awnings in. The pool looked amazing for a state park, however it was closed due to staffing. The entry road is a bit challenging, bring your driving skills and don't check in early or out late. I can't imagine 2 campers on some parts of that road. 100 percent I would go back again.

Scenic campground close to all Old Man's Cave trails. We had a full hookup travel trailer sight surrounded by hardwoods and curious squirrels and raccoons. Electric only, camp cabins, and tent sights available also. Part of our sight was muddy covered with straw (see photo), which was right in front of our entrance doors which is the main reason for the 4-star rating. We bought a welcome mat and only used the kitchen entrance to fix the mud issue. We will be back though in the fall.

Hocking hills does not officially open till April 1st that some sites are open but I don't know about water so they've cut down on the sites for the winner best thing to do is to call them and ask him what sites are open
If it only happens when you use water. It is the water pump.
