When I first met Sonia, it was due to my curiosity of the studio name. I was already doing business close by and finally stopped in for more information. That was nine years ago. At that time, I thought I was meeting an immediate goal of strengthening my core; maybe lose a few pounds. What I learned, and found in Sonia, was an amazing teacher & instructor who taught me so much more. I felt my body change and learned I didn’t want to not attend, for too many days, at a time! Pilates and GYROTONIC is happily, a part of my life where I feel balanced, strong, whole, healthy & a part of me. Sonia is attentive to all her students individual needs. In her caring way, she ensures her clients make the adjustments and corrections required, throughout her class. Her passion for her work and clients is clearly evident, making her a leader in the industry. May 2016

I have enjoyed the Gyrokinesis classes for three reasons: 1. The instructor, Sonia, built up every movement gradually. The intensity was increased steps by steps so I always felt "doable". 2. Sonia varied the similar movement in sessions. There were many ways to stretch a part of body so the class was not "routine" or boring. 3. Sonia has been paying attention to students' practice, even in on-line classes, so we learned the movement correctly.

Sonia is a great teacher. She knows her stuff and is always working to expand her knowledge. She teaches in a non-judgmental way that makes everyone feel comfortable, regardless of their fitness level. Body Evolutions is a community place. You can feel the camaraderie. Workouts are challenging yet fun. Whether it's a private session in person, or an online group class (she taught for free during Shelter in Place), my body always feels so good afterward.

Sonia is an excellent Pilates instructor. We always look forward to our next session.She is very knowledgeable about the human body.If you are having problems from operations/injuries, she knows what to work on to get you feeling better. I walk in to the studio and walk out after my session always feeling better.

I have scoliosis. Will Gyrotonic help improve my posture?

The Gyrotonic exercise system is immensely helpful for persons with scoliosis. The work is gentle and the undulating and spiraling movements encourage the muscles to relax and the spine to unwind. People begin to notice a difference in how their bodies feel after just one session. Of course you'll want to keep coming back to continue seeing results. The Gyrotonic Expansion System feels like a massage from the inside out. Your body will thank you for trying it.

Can I do Pilates if I'm over 60?

Oh goodness, thankfully it's never too late to try Pilates. We work with men and women well into their 80's and have great results. Both the Pilates and the Gyrotonic exercise systems can be modified to suit the person we're working with making them both incredible fitness systems for people of all ages..

What should I wear to Pilates?

Thanks for asking. We recommend wearing comfortable workout clothing that you feel comfortable moving and stretching in. If you choose to wear gym shorts: please wear underpants or bike shorts. Socks are required in the studio and on the equipment and grip socks are preferred. We ask that you avoid wearing belts, zippers, or buttons that could catch and tear the equipment upholstery.

Is Pilates safe to do everyday?

Both Pilates and Gyrotonic are safe to do everyday, however you'll want to listen to your body when it needs rest in between sessions. It's recommended to do Pilates at least 2-3x per week, but you can do it more often if you like.

If you're visiting our website via your mobile phone you can click on button right in the center of the banner that says GET MY TRIAL SESSION. The other option is to click on the three menu buttons and click on the Pricing page and you'll see our current specials right on top.
