There is a beautiful hike to a waterfall. It's called Bonita falls. It's such a wonderful site. Once we seen a family of deer crossing the creek on the way to the falls. Highly recommend this hike.

Beautiful surroundings were you can have an amazing hike or picnic. Very helpful rangers as well.

Two nice nature trails to enjoy. Short but just long enough if you have young ones with you.Really appreciate the little labels at the base of most plants giving you the names and what the local indigenous tribes used them for. I take my grandson up here about twice a week and he always finds something new that interest him.

Their website stated the ranger station was open. It was not. Nice area, 39 degrees with snow on the peaks around. Further up you have Lytle creek firing range. There is a small town with a post office and a fire station.
