It was like most rail trails flat, wide, and kinda dull. It goes by farmland and occasionally right along chickies creek. Not the most exciting hike, but would be great for bikes and jogging. There are two streets that have to be crossed.

Beautiful trail well maintained. You will enjoy the surrounding farm land, and scenery along the water. There are rest rooms at the entrance near fire training school, ample parking and .5 markers along the way.

It does say 2.5 but it's really 2.25. Very nice well maintained trail. The park service is continuously keeping up on trail maintenance. A few times flooding took out the trail and they had it back up in a few days.

Nice trail. Well shaded with a lovely creek running by it.

I've definitely found them locked at times in the winter. Granted I'm typically there fairly early in the morning, but I don't count on them being open 24/7.
