A good friend of mine got dental work done here. By far the worst dental experience I have every heard of. They got a root canal done and had the worst pain they have ever been in that next night. The tooth that was worked on has been acting up and they are most likely going to have to get it redone. They got multiple fillings done as well which were also done poorly. Don’t even get me started with billing and insurance - a nonstop issue trying to get something so simple figured out. So much money was spent here and it is all likely to have to be redone. The staff there is nice but I would never recommend going to this place. I have no clue how the reviews are so high.

We’re typically pretty accommodating and understanding people, so it takes more than minor inconveniences or issues to prompt a bad review. However, our experience at Avanta in Ellensburg was by far the worst we’ve ever had; and as a family that has to move around every couple years due to work, we’ve had a lot of experiences with different dentists. The folks at Avanta are nice enough, but the quality of care and handling of the business side is severely lacking. The in-the-seat experiences were highly uncomfortable due to the types of devices they use, as well as the unacceptable amount of time they would leave us sitting in the chair with our mouths propped open and drying out from unattended suction. There was one time the dental hygienist performed multiple fillings on my son because the dentist was busy (is that even allowed?). Not surprisingly, all those filling failed and he had to get them redone. At our cost. My wife had to get a root canal done and had lingering pain that was not solved for months until we changed dentists, and it was as simple as filing down a high spot. There were multiple mistakes made with the billing, and when we finally had enough and changed dentists, we had the awkward opportunity to go in and get a check from them for a residual balance. We switched to Creekside Dental and have been absolutely pleased with all aspects of their operation. We wish we would have started there and avoided Avanta completely, as I recommend you do.

Staff take time to explain everything thoroughly - great experience. I needed a root canal which is no fun but Dr. McDonald minimized pain and did a great job. I would highly recommend her. Trinity, and Austin are wonderful techs and Emily at the front is a treasure.

Dr. Ferguson and the ladies that work with him, Sarah and Emily were incredibly warm and welcoming ensuring that my visit was absolutely stress free. I look forward to my next visit without any trepidation at all!
