Unprofessional! I called them a couple days ago asking did they have anything open, they said yes a lady just canceled her app so they had one open. She said if you’re serious fill out app and pay app & administration fee ASAP. The same day i filled out application & did as she told me to do. After that i talked to Lisa who was extremely nice and told me today was my lucky day because this is the only one open & the previously lady canceled she said I should be receiving a call back in a couple days to move further with apartment. Next day a lady zondra called and told me i apologize but the lady that previously canceled changed her mind so they will be giving the apartment to her. They didn’t even process my application because she was already approved. I feel like that was extremely unprofessional and a inconvenience for me. If they one going to give it to the prev lady they should of made me go through all of that and had my hopes up thinking i was going to get it. I’m still waiting on my refund I could of used for something else. I don’t normally leave reviews but this was not right at all

I lived in a studio apartment at the Chimneys for almost two years. I wanted to give the place a fair review. This was my very first solo apartment and I loved it. First of all, the rent here is incredibly affordable compared to the rest of Charlotte, especially given how close it is to everything (5 mins or less to Cotswold shopping center, 10-15 mins to uptown without traffic). I will say, the buildings and units are old, however they're well maintained for the most part. You won't get the granite countertops and stainless steel appliances that you'd get at a "luxury" apartment, but everything is clean and functional, so for me it was perfect. For the most part, management stays out of your business and doesn't impose 15 new rules per week like a lot of these newer corporate complexes do. There's no mandatory fees besides rent. Water is included. So is trash. You pay power and internet. There's no W/D in any of the units, but they just upgraded the laundry room. The pool is small but nice and well maintained. The community is an eclectic mix, lots of older people, small families, young people living alone, and couples. It's a quiet complex without a lot of noise. They don't allow dogs so you don't get dog waste or barking ever. If I ever needed to move back here (I moved closer to work), I'd be happy to do so. Don't judge a book by its cover. This place is a hidden gem.

I used to live at these apartments and they're ok for the price but the office staff is the worst they are always so rude and mean. There was only one nice lady I forgot what her name was but she was the first desk on the left when you walked in. The other two ladies always had an attitude and talked down to the tenants. I feel they where the worst part of living there.

I had an apartment near the office in the early 90s then I moved further back in the complex where it's quiet. The front apartments near Sharon Amity you get traffic noise and you have to get use to the trains going by other then that it was a good place to live
