Took the family to the Blowing Rock on a Monday. There was no line, parking was easy and best of all, the park is pet friendly. Admission is $9 per adult with discounts for students and military. The park is very clean- including the rest rooms, snack shop, and the gift shop. You can see 3 states from the observation tower. There are several spots to sit and enjoy the view and a few trails to explore. Be sure to grab some popcorn and a drink from the snack shop!

Ever since we moved to N.C. we’ve been dying to take a day trip to see blowing rock. This town is very pristine and beautiful. The park was very easy to get to, there was plenty of parking on a weekday. We went right inside the gift shop, which is where you’ll be paying for your admission, $9.00 per person. There are restrooms located outside the building, which were kept very clean. Once inside the park, you’ll have access to a variety of trails ranging in difficulty. The park itself was spotless. A short stroll to the rock once you leave the gift shop. The views from the rock were incredibly breathtaking. You can climb it and take pictures, but do so at your own risk. They have a lookout tower down the trail where you have panoramic views of the mountains ⛰ and an additional store where you can get souvenirs or drinks on a hot day. This experience exceeded our expectations, and to be honest, pictures don’t do this “Hallmark” town justice. Come check it out!

Cute little town to visit and the views here are just gorgeous! Definitely give yourself plenty of time to walk the trail and I suggest leaving an hour before dusk as the roads can get thick with fog! There is zero visibility at night. Check your weather report in the winter.
