We come here every year with our horses and friends. Love the open campsites and trails.

Not very happy with our stay. We qualify for a handicap accessible site and it was anything but. It was sloped to the point where no wheelchair or scooter could possibly navigate it without injury. Our lot was a hill and the grass looked like it hadn’t been mowed for 3 to 4 weeks. You could not sit around the fireplace because it was on a hill also.Very disappointed. We requested a different table and no one came.

Beautiful park. Large campground sites. Plenty of trails. Great views of the Ohio river. We kayaked the Blue river while in the area. There are many natural springs that feed into the Blue river.

The nature center attendant was phenomenal! We missed the last animal encounter, but as we browsed the displays inside, she introduced us to a black king snake. She explained what "king" means in a snake name. Go find out! She was awesome! The trails are great and long enough to wear out my three kids. We climbed the fire tower and enjoyed photo ops you can't get everywhere.

The main park trails range from .8 to 2 miles long. The park also lies along the 25 mile Adventure Hiking Trail. More information and maps can be found here: https://www.in.gov/dnr/parklake/files/sp-obannon_hike_adventuretrail.pdf https://www.in.gov/dnr/parklake/files/obannon_woods_trail.pdf
Most sites w/ electric have both 30 & 50 amp service.
There is knobstone trail that runs through the park. The park itself has a campground but the knobstone also has campsites scattered throughout.
There are no cabins at the park, but there are cabins at Marengo Cave which isn't far away.
They have both. Electic and primitve both are very nice..make SURE you have shoes on your horses..trails are rocky but very awesome
There is a gate fee (per vehicle) to enter the park: Indiana Residence pay $7 and Out Of State Residence pay $9. There is then a $5 fee (per person) for the aquatic center.
You should call the Harrison County Forestry office and ask that question. There is a possibility of events with horse drawn wagons.
Call the campground. I think there is one heated comfort station at this time.
