Love the food and great service. Parking is limited, but enough for this small place. Doesn't look great on the outside, but inside is beautifully restored.

This happened about a year ago, didn't know that I could leave a review, spoke to a family member she told me I could leave a review, so here it goes. I probably should not have ordered a steak from a Mexican restaurant but I did and the steak was rotten. You could smell the rot when she sat it down, I still took a bite and immediately spit it out. I told them that the steak was rotten and I wanted to order something else and immediately they're waitress got a bad attitude, at that point I said never mind and we left and I haven't been back.

Okay. PLEASE STOP CALLING THIS PLACE AN AUTHENTIC MEXICAN RESTAURANT. Just because they serve their food smothered in cheese with a side of rice and beans does not make it Mexican! $70 for 3 plates of cheese is absurd. Anyways this place gets 2 stars for the service. The ladies were nice.

*RESTAURANT- Chicos is a little quaint Mexican restaurant located in San Mateo Florida. Is a very authentic Mexican restaurant, the owner and cook has been here for many years and he demands Excellence! Everything on the plate the food the presentation everything is very authentic and the manager carries on this tradition. *EMPLOYEES ~ For Excellent customer service you can come in and ask for Andrea or Jenny they are excellent waitresses and will take care of you and give you or your group great service with a 😃 smile! The salsa is some of the best tasting I have had anywhere, and the chips are served warm, perfect flavor and crispy! 👌
