What a breath of fresh air in Silver Springs! The food was spectacular and the owners and wait staff we’re amazing. If you haven’t tried Lena‘s seafood what are you waiting for?

Cute 50's style diner playing 50's music. Menu is mostly seafood. And mostly fried. They do serve burgers, subs, and salads, but those are clearly not the focus here, haha. We had the fish tacos lunch special ($7), the lobster roll with onion rings ($18) and the All you can eat shrimp (2nd plate and after, you can substitute clams or fish) with onion rings and coleslaw ($17). All our food was good, and the onion rings were excellent, if a little sweet with the batter reminiscent of funnel cakes. The coleslaw was served in a condiment cup, and, I think it would be wise to increase the size or eliminate it entirely-- it is a ridiculous size and feels really stingy. The fish tacos had generous pieces of fried pollack with lettuce, tomato, and shredded cheddar. The lobster roll was authentic New England style. The fried shrimp and clams were small but plentiful and very hot as they should be. These are not the best fried shrimp as that honor belongs to Osteens in St. Augustine, but the variety and authenticity of Lena's menu is 5* . All were accompanied by bottles of Ketchup, tartar (oddly sweet), cocktail sauce, and a housemade horseradish sauce that was the best one. For drinks, we had the iced tea which is brewed, not instant. Free refills which is good because the Styrofoam cups are on the small side, however our waitress was very attentive and kept them full. The fried items were hot and the lettuce and tomatoes were cold. Everything was fresh and came out really quickly. This visit was on a Thursday at about 2pm, but they had about 6 other tables occupied while we were there, of course this was about half full... it is a small place. Service was friendly and efficient. Men's and ladies' room consisted of a single toilet and sink in each but they were generously sized and clean. They do close for a while in the summer. I think right after July 4 (2022). It isn't hard to see why Lena's has been in business for so long, especially in such an out of the way location. I just wish it was closer. Hope to make it back in the fall or winter for some chowdah (not sure whether it will be red or white!).

Holy moly! Was not expecting that much food. It says for 2 people but that’s way more than 2 people. The coleslaw was even good and that’s tough. The sauces were good the food was crispy so fresh. We bought crab bites and those were delicious. The ranch was good. The tea was great. The cookies are huge. Definitely a repeat for sure. We had The Whale Dinner. This photo didn’t do it justice. Very quaint place. Will be getting my business many times to come

My spouse & I stopped in at Lena's for the first time. We order the whaler platter for 2. Only negative is that it is only available fried. A huge quantity of food, 3 types of fish, scallops, shrimp & clams, fries, onion rings, coleslaw & 2 rolls. So fresh and tasty. We will definitely be back! We had great service as well as great food!
