I called around looking for a locksmith that would work on a motorcycle. My spouse and I moved to San Diego from Florida, and the key to the motorcycle was misplaced during the move. The Suzuki dealership had told me that a key could be made with the codes on the ignition switch, but that they couldn’t be bothered to look for the codes. They would have done it for around $25 too. So I continue the search before I found David. Now it was early when I called. I explained the situation and he agreed to do the job and quoted me for $200. I explained also that I needed it done as soon as possible, and he told me one hour. Fine. He shows up three hours later, takes 2 hours making copies only to tell me that he has to come back a different day because he has the wrong tools. Remembering that he was the first locksmith I found that could work on the motorcycle I begrudgingly agreed to have him come back with the proper tools. So day one, after 5 hours of waiting when I only had a couple, nothing had been accomplished. The lack of communication was astounding too. Just tell me you can’t do it with what you have I would understand. I instead had to prompt any notes of progress out of him. Granted when you’ve made zero progress I understand not being forthcoming about it. Anyway he says he’ll come back in 2 days with the right tools. Eventually he does come back, also after the time range he said he would there. This time he brought his wife, but still couldn’t do the job. Well, another hour later he realizes (after cutting around 10 different keys) that the lock itself might need to be fixed, and so proceeds to break the plate cover off the ignition (it is now cracked into three separate pieces) and raises the price to $550. Then asks me to Venmo the money to him. Seeing as how he actually managed to hand me a working key (and because I really felt bad) I paid this man the last of my money after a big move which he was aware of. He then rushes to leave, almost forgetting to put the bike back together, trying to hide the broken plate, and leaving behind a battery pack. He said he would come back in a couple of days to bring two more keys. Since then I have been trying to get him to bring them, even going so far as to get his home address and agree to a time to get the keys only for him to not even be there. We had agreed that I would arrive at his home after 8pm (mind you this is a month after the job was first initiated) only for him to decide it was a great time to go shopping, and then tell me three hours later after 11pm that he was home. How incredibly unprofessional. This man is a liar and a rip off artist. This has just been a synopsis of my experience with David. In short, this man has been a poor communicator, has raised the price after an agreement had been made, and refuses to come through after saying he would do something. He has no respect for customer time, and can barely manage his own. If you can avoid using this service, I would recommend doing so. I wouldn’t have given a glowing review if only this man was honest, respectful, and prompt. Those are three things (from my experience with him) that he is not.

Most affordable locksmith in San Diego by a long shot! I needed to get a spare key for my 2013 car. Its normally hundreds of dollars because of transponder chips, thick square shape that has to be laser cut and key fob built into the key. I got same day service and the work was done quickly on the spot while paying about a third of other quotes. Thanks!

Man David is the best guy to fix my keys and very helpful. He came right away and made a new key fro me on the spot. He very nice and very respectful. I trust him and he gave me good warranty if my key happens to mess up. But so far no troubles and opens my trunk and all my doors. I thank this ma. very much people should go to him with any locksmith issues forget other places go to David. Also go buy is awesome key chains and lanyards. He is just awesome and great service.
