I stayed at the Leapin' Lizard last December for a week and absolutely loved it. I had only intended to stay for a night or two but RV parks like this are pretty rare. The owner, Debra keeps a close eye on the facility and even though it is located right in the middle of an off-road area, it is calm and quiet thanks to her supervision. The pool was beautiful as was the hot tub. I like to think I am a pretty good housekeeper but I swear the showers and washroom were cleaner than mine at home. Can't say enough about this little gem of an RV park!

This full hook-up location near the Borrego metal sculptures was an amazing find. The RV spots were spacious and level. Deborah was so friendly on the phone, at check-in and seeing us off. She even helped me back in our spot. I highly recommend this beautiful spot!

Debra and Sigfried are great hosts. The park is always family oriented, safe and quite after 9 or so. Its the perfect end to a hectic day of mobbing through the desert. Huge hottub to help ease the sore knees. Perfect clean and well stocked showers/bathrooms. Love staying here. Cannot recommend high enough for families. If loud parties till 2am are your thing look to Desert Ironwood. If safe, beautiful and family friendly is what your looking for look here. Chris and Jenn

We love this park; hidden gem, huge pool, jacuzzi, immaculate facilities.. bathrooms, laundry. We have a licensed off road jeep, so works for us! Perfect if you are on/off road. Parking area for off road vehicles otherwise and pretty secure. Mellow park, well maintained... trees, full hook ups! Close to Borrego, local stores, Iron Door, trails. Note, no cell service... have to go outside of the park for messages, calls.

Yes, we did that. But had to park one vehicle in overflow area.

How is the sky at night? Are you away from the city enough where you can see the Milky Way?

Yes but there is light pollution from the Imperial Valley and Salton Sea areas.
