I've been to 40/48 states... This was by far one of the most bizarre experiences ever. If your looking for a no questions asked cheap stay you might be in luck, but he'll charge extra for kids n pets, makes up the prices off the top of his head. If you are brave enough to use the common bathroom he'll expect you to clean it, The campsites are infested with ants, like before we even parked we were spraying them trying minimize the amount of them, I expect bugs when camping but not an infestation. The creek/river was so low, until it rained, then it just looked dirty, there's supposed to be fish but I didn't see any. Would not recommend to anyone!

This is a great spread out campground. Lots of River front and lots of shade. Mostly grass or Sandy areas no gravel that’s common at many other campgrounds. You can set up wherever you want, which is awesome- for that reason there are no fire rings with adjustable grill grates provided nor are there picnic tables. We found lots and lots of broken glass and rusty nails, it’s quite a shame because our kids typically run wild and barefoot down in the water and all around the sites. I thought it was perhaps from people throwing them in their fire over time and it leaves glass shards behind but there’s also a lot of it along the driving paths too. Just beware of broken glass, bottle caps and rusty nails. Electric is only available for long term guests and it seems limited. There is one building with toilets and showers provided. The toilets only have a shower curtain for privacy and the curtains are VERY DIRTY AND GROSS. There are 2 toilets for each gender. HOT water in the sinks and no paper towels. There’s sharpie signs all over the plywood saying to turn off the lights- (when they could simply purchase a timer and install it!) The bathrooms could really use a regular cleaning schedule and a few small upgrades to make this place a 5 star talk of the town. Showers: plywood doors, dark cement stalls, cold water (maybe just the one I picked that day.) These could also stand to have a cleaning schedule and maybe better lighting. Hot water would be a plus but I read everyone saying there were hot showers- somehow mine and the other 4 family members after me were all COLD. Overall this is a very relaxed atmosphere no park rangers coming to enforce quiet hours or hiding your beer every time a vehicle passes. It is simply based on respect for each other and the great outdoors.

Although Kenny is a nice person. The website says it's 250 a month and reality it's 425 a month. Most sites do not have sewer. They do not have picnic tables. Some people nice, but others are questionable

If you want a few days or weeks or months of serenity......this is it. Took my daughter here for a weekend to get away from the world. I second guessed this place at first but said, what is the point in camping if it is easy? The website could use an update because some of it is off but that did not stop me from enjoying a great weekend in peace with mother nature. The price was 15 a night for a tent up to three people. At first, I thought that was a bit up there but after sitting there the first night, I realized it was worth it. You would have to go in order to understand. If you need firewood, they will cut it and deliver it to you. You get quite a bit for 25.00 and more if ya want it. I had the pleasure to get to know the owners a small bit and I cant say enough good things about them. The hospitality is outstanding. The showers and bathroom facility is pretty rustic, which I love, but the water was hot and it was all very clean. We did not have any animal visitors except for a cow across the river. lol. At night, the stars shine bright and noise of mother nature is beautiful. This is a place that you can truly get away and get back to respecting nature and others. I will definitely be going back more often not only for the peace and serenity, but because the owners make you feel like you belong there.
