I've done this hike twice now. It's MUCH easier to start on the Rancho Bernardo side off duenda. The route starting in 4S is doable but more of a challenge with a skinnier and more rocky trail. Either way you come it's a great view and rest stop at the point.

Good hike, beautiful views and not super crowded early.

Nice hike up leading up to this point. We did it during daytime so it was definitely bright and sunny. Bring plenty of water and be prepared for multiple levels of elevations to get here. I'd wish this point was better maintained, but definitely worth hiking here at least once.

A nice hike for those who are looking to escape the city for a few hours. With some steeper parts, lots of wild nature around. A bit slippery on a rainy day.
