We have watched several shows here including the ones from summer camps and every single one has been fabulous!

Went to watch the Color Purple. The facility was very welcoming. The lady at the ticket box and the usher, Mr. Wilson were very hospitable. The temperature in the auditorium was cool, leg space between the rows was adequate and the acoustics was impeccable! The performance of the Color Purple was excellent. The singing was off the chain

It’s been a few years since I have attended anything at CFRT because we are currently living in Virginia. However, I was told about the production of The Color Purple and I immediately purchased 2 tickets and fortunately was able to purchase 2 more before showtime. My family.attended the show on 21 May 2022 at 2 o’clock in the afternoon of which was sold out. The CFRT did NOT disappoint. The production was absolutely amazing!!! I was pleased to see how well the place has maintained and the production of The Color Purple was beyond what I imagined. The director, cast, and crew did an AMAZING job!!! Hats off with a Standing Ovation!

I went to see Color Purple on Sat 5/14. I was excited as I hadn’t been to a play in a long time and had heard good reviews. My 3rd person wasn’t able to attend but it didn’t bother me at all as I found the ticket prices to be pretty good. Well I was sadly not impressed last night. We had a fill in for Celie and it was announced in the program. I didn’t think much of it but I should have. The temporary actress was below average and her role was too big to be such a poor fit for the role. Her singing sounded very poor, her acting was questionable and she didn’t try to match the character in actions or tone. I wouldn’t suggest anyone else attend while the Celie fill in is active in the play. Overall, it was a poor experience for me and had I known what to expect, I would have left with the first noticeable cracks. Cape Fear seems okay and I will possibly try another play but they deserved better than last nights performance.
